The mission of the Alaska Teen Media Institute is to provide teens with the tools and training needed to produce stories and with the opportunity for their stories - told in their own voices - to be shared through a variety of media. ATMI believes the teen perspective is valuable and under-represented. The Alaska Teen Media Institute is a program under the umbrella of Spirit of Youth, 501 (c)(3).

Vitus Collective is a group of young artists and musicians in and around Anchorage. Members include Machel, Husse, Zane Penny, Charlie Stockard, Maezelle, Richie, and Saint Deon.
In the summer 0f 2019, they held a series of shows at the Kincaid Bunkers that brought in an audience of around 300 attendees.
In this episode we hear from Machel and Husse, about the origins of Vitus Collective, the music they make together, and how the group operates; as well as Zane Penny (a former ATMI producer) about shooting music videos for the group, and making his own foray into songwriting.
Both interviews were conducted by ATMI senior producer Cornilius Nelson.
Hosted by Devin Shreckengost.
Music Credits: "Don't Worry" by Machel "Hello" by Husse "You Said (featuring Husse)" by Machel "Cigarette" by Zane Penny (songs used with artist permission)
